Grimsdalshytta to Grimsbu. 33km 7 1/2hrs. An early start from the hut because I thought it could be a long day… I started with an easy ski down the grimsdalen before I had to climb to a snowed-up hamlet Tollevshaugen. I was aiming to intersect with cut tracks above Folldal. Tor-Ivan @lemonsjoe.no fortuitously introduced me to @skisporetwhich shows me where ALL the cut cross country ski tracks are in Norway… and more importantly, when they were last cut! For this section northwards this is precious information and I plan to make best use of it for the next few days. It allowed a cruisy descent to Folldal on fresh tracks and then a wonderful afternoon skiing easily on to Grimsbu via a delightful cabin at Grønhøbua. Now watching the olympic cross country ski races on TV!
