After a long spell of sunshine the timing of the inevitable downpour could not have been worse. The conditions during the bike ride were so treacherous that it caused a number of serious accidents and the scale of punctures was unbelievable. A teammate of Nick’s had seven!
However our plucky Chairman had luck on his side and managed to escape puncture and injury free.
Whilst Nick is a regular club cyclist, it is the first time he has riden 100 miles in one ride.
Nick said, ‘That was a challenging ride on many fronts but, job done and sponsorship money raised for The Ulysses Trust. As a born Londoner, it was fantastic to ride into and out of London on closed roads. I may have sprinted down the Mall at the finish!’
It is not too late to sponsor Nick. If you would like to help him raise even more money, please click the button below.
