Chairman Completes Prudential Ride London – Surrey 100

Our Chairman, Nick Kurth, completed the Prudential Ride London – Surrey 100 challenge event on Sunday – a hundred miles from London, over the Surrey hills and back to London. Nick raised over £1,400 for the Charity. We caught up with him and asked how he found it.

“Having good weather, compared to the wind and rain of last year, made for faster speeds and and clearly a better environment.  The downside of the good weather and faster speeds was a worrying number of accidents.  I saw over 6 individuals lying out in the road being looked after by the excellent on-hand medical services.  (Perhaps this in the cost of an inclusive event.)  All told though, there was a great atmosphere and cycling on closed roads, particularly through London, is something very special.”

When asked what next,

“I have said to my family and friends that if they see me thinking about clicking on the ballot application button for the 2020 event, they are to give me a swift kick!  I will be looking for a cycling adventure in Europe next year”.

It is not too late to sponsor Nick to benefit the Trust (and indeed all sponsorship raised will be going to the Trust as Nick has covered his entry fee and logistics).  The link is here:  https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-display/showROFundraiserPage?pageId=1062168

Thank you Nick!
