Shackleton Trophy Best Expedition Competition

The Ulysses Trust’s Chairman, AVM Nick Kurth, and Ops Director, Sqn Ldr Kev O’Brien, attended the annual Air Training Corps Shackleton Trophy best expedition competition at the Royal Geographic Society on Friday 8th November 2019.

Nick had the opportunity to address those attending, including thanking the RAF Charitable Trust for its assistance to the Charity. Many of the highlighted expeditions were supported by the Trust; indeed, so far this year, the Trust has provided £32,500 for 10 ATC expeditions benefiting 151 ATC cadets.

The winning expedition was a Wales and SW expedition, Ex MOUNTAIN STORM in Canada, which was indeed supported by the Trust. Many congratulations to the winning expedition but The Ulysses Trust team felt that all the submissions were of a very high standard.
